I have been cleaning sealant from between the alloy skins of the exterior of an aircraft, prior to resealing then painting the aircraft. It is quite intricate work that puts a strain on the fingertips. After 3 weeks of this work , its a big aircraft , my fingers started cracking. That is from the edges of the nails to the fingertips. They were so bad they were bleeding, it is painful.
