My heels developed thick cracked calluses, and the bottoms of my feet had deep cracks that bleed and would not heal. For months I went through a myriad of `Dry and Cracked Feet' products, including some very high-powered hydrocortisone creams (like Flourisamide) from my MD. Nothing helped at all until I ordered this product. I ordered two of them, and went through the first one already. It took about three days to notice a difference (applying it in the AM and PM then white sox). I am now on the second container, and ordering a third to have on hand. This stuff really works! Helps my badly cracked hands also. Not a big fan of socks, except in closed toe shoes, hence the dry heels. I used this religiously every night for about 1.5 weeks. I put it on, then put on socks at night (this is torture for me, by the way). While it is working and my heels are nicer, this has not "healed" the cracks (which were and are not that great or noticeable). It's definitely made my heels look better but no "healing" there.I have also been having trouble with an awful looking elbow for years (cracked, bleeding skin and nothing's been able to heal it). I put this on and it's helped tremendously. It healed in within a few days. The only trouble is that I have to keep on using it, otherwise the dry skin comes back. I guess the skin on the heels is so much thicker that it may take longer to heal than the elbows. I don't know. I have used other products for my feet and they work just as well as this. You only need a little to get the job done. I had noticeable improvement right away. Now my heels are free of cracks and I don't even have wrinkles where the cracks were. I have heard that the cracks were a form of Athletes Foot, but couldn't confirm it. I noticed in the ingredients that it has an anti-fungal. I haven't found another product with this ingredient (including Heeltastic which I wouldn't buy again even if my feet fell off!!!). I believe that made the difference. If this stick ever runs out, I'll be buying another, just in case my cracks come back. |
